Five Fast ones with ARC instructor: Mimi Kirchner

Mimi's class in action!

I am thrilled to introduce Mimi and her work here today to you! Her tattooed men, little worlds and adorable owls are my favorite works from her shop. If you haven't seen her blog Doll - you are also in for a treat. Mimi is a creative force to be reckoned with and we are so excited to have her be part of our experience this summer. So without further ado - here's Mimi

Hi I am Mimi Kirchner, Arlington MA, I love natural fiber cloth and threads and especially everything wool!

1. What is your most fond memory of camp?
The Arts and Crafts- OF COURSE!!! Actually, my favorite camp experience was at an Audubon camp and after dinner the director would take us on a walk and identify birds and point out wonders of nature in the dusk.

2. What do you want to share with your students at ARC?
Making an imaginary world. Getting back to playing with color, felt and stitches. Having fun!

3. What is your favorite  outdoor summer activity?
Gardening

4. What's on your nightstand?
2 crafty biz books by Kari Chapin and some crossword puzzles.

5. What are your current artistic endeavors include?

I am working away on my dolls, trying to round out my inventory for the shows I am doing- Renegade in San Francisco and Chicago. I am also working on a dog pattern and developing some new designs. There is never a dull moment!
