Circles

circles a monoprint, originally uploaded by artstreamstudios.

A quick post today as there is a lot of this and thats to catch up with .
This monoprint I made with gelatin this past Sunday. It is part of my "Atmospheric" series and I am in love with the colors.
It's sunny sunshine here today which if we all think of the word "melt" simultaneously, perhaps, just maybe, the 8 foot snowbanks will disappear!

Susan, this is so great! The layers of color, and I love the circles too. You make gelatin printing so appealing! :)

These circles look like the thinnest of seashells! The effect of the gelatin is amazing...I adore that texture. And the colors...delicious. I am thinking MELT in a very big way. It's pretty crazy how long those darn piles of snow last, isn't it?

Beautiful work - it does make me think of spring too, which fits with your post!

Hey there, Susan! I like your atmospheric series. You know what the circles in this painting remind me of? The round sun spots in colour photographs. You know, from photos taken on a perfect summer evening or at sunrise...when the light is golden and the sun hits the lens just so? sigh...I've been dreaming of summer...
