What can I say except that I really love Danny's work. This necklace has me reeling. Which is perfect because they are fabulous circles...

Busy hands
In the studio: Lots of clay action goings on in the studio here at artstream. Little nesting bowls made of clay with special imprints and glazing techniques. Everyone is working on pieces which we will feature in our upcoming June exhibit at the Rochester Public Library! Did you hear? Our new summer classes, camps and workshops are on line! Yay - spring must really be here! Somewhere!

it really should be springtime...
... and it does come closer, but it slipped back this week. It's freezing right now and luckily I have a load of writing today to do on my book so I can view the sunshine from inside and keep the windy cold outside!
Here's to a productive Sunday!

6 more days left ....
I know I have been hammering this one home, but it is so important to me. We are up to $1920 in aid for the effort for Japan through The Working Proof and Doctors without Borders. Thank you for bearing with me and thank you for your support! Share this with your friends please and help us reach $3000!

Students working
A quick hello from the studio! Yes, it's been a busy start to 2011 ... some exciting news of my book becoming a reality this year - and working on it with my husband behind the camera -- and the finest publisher anyone could ever imagine. Quarry books will be publishing it in 2012. For now though here is a quick shot of one of my student's warm up sketches. It's just a day in the life! What are you drawing?

Color ruled my weekend ...
Lots of fun and creativity in colors of the rainbow happened this weekend at artstream. It's incredible to work with tiny tools, beeswax, (oh it smells heavenly), and smooth white eggs! Pysanky eggs are wonderful to make and we had so much fun that we are doing it all again on April 19th. Sign up now to learn a wonderful traditional art of Ukrainian egg decorating. Everyone from age 7 and up can try this!

Paul Timmons - an artist from the Seacoast of NH - and an exhibitor at artstream, is making fabulous calendars. This is the March to March one I got from him this week. I love it. Above are a couple of shots of the months. More on Paul in the coming months. Check the back pages here for other details on Paul.

Hello March!
In like a lamb today, but there is still quite a bit of ice to be found around the edges of the place. Watch your step! As you can see by the photo there are plenty of bare walls and pedestals to fill. That's tomorrow. Until then- you should take a last look online at the exhibits from before. We are working hard right now on our new site and shop - new new new. I just love that word! Till then ...
