Adam Pearson:: our hero

I couldn't say enough if I had all the words in the world, about how much Adam does for us. We have to "company lines" here at artstream.
They are identical. "Oh, I know Adam can do that" and "Oh I know Rainer can do that"... just taking a moment to say how thankful we are for both of these awesome guys.
Adam has been working for six months, sculpting environmentally friendly sculptures, which will be a HUGE part of a project our non profit group, Art Esprit (yes the same name as this blog) has been working on. It's a public art project for Rochester called "The Shoes of Rochester". More on that later, but a little sneak peek is over at my flickr.

Back to the hanging now - more photos throughout the day.

Seen and Unseen

A new show went up last night here at the gallery. Three locally talented women - Amber Lavalley (our wonderful wonderful intern), Judith Heller Cassell, and Mary Bullock - plus our good buddy sculptor -Adam Pearson. We are thrilled to house such local talent and proud of the mix so stop by tonight if you are in our little city from nibbles and sips from 5-7 p.m. The show will also feature for the month eleven new monotypes by Edibeth Farrington. They are holding the Lovely Hearts place for February!

Adam Pearson is one of our "we couldn't do without him" artists. His work has been purchased and installed in our city adopt a spots, many people's gardens, my backyard, partner Mary-Jo's side yard, and now he is part of our new show "3 Dimensions" . This work is called "bird" He will have some wall mounted sculptural work as well as floor standing pieces. This show is going to be very exciting, so don't miss it!
Opens Friday, the formal opening is January 14, 2007 , Sunday from 3 -5 p.m. Lots to see!

The word for the day is .... crow ... as in mysterious black birds, a sound one makes when they are laughing hard, and here's something to "crow" about!
