Friday November 3rd 5:30-7:30pm Exhibit Opening
Saturday November 11th 7:00-9:00pm Poetry Reading and Dance Response
In July 2005 fifteen poets participated in a collaborative project of the Poetry Society of New Hampshire and artstream. They choose a piece of artwork to write a poem from, which was then displayed alongside in the gallery.
In 2006 the process is reversed: Poets submitted works that are base for the visual artists to create the artwork for this exhibition. Additionally these poems will be the inspiration for dances performed by Elysium Dance Project in a special event on Saturday, November 11th.
Art inspires art: enjoy – and get inspired.

This reminds me of some projects that were done at calligraphy conferences and and art museums.
At one conference 5 well known calligraphers were chosen to interpret and artists photograph. So at the conference we had a lecture on their interpretation. It was wonderful.
another calligrapher from South Bend one year put together a show called Letter River Dance. Several artists books were on display and she invited poets to read their poems while calligraphers interpreted the work on a large canvas on stage. ther ewas also music and dance to accompany the poems.
yes toni! that is exactly it!
