Mixed media
luberon IV
Whew, I am pretty exhausted today, even though it is morning... last night at our gallery, we held a huge "closing party" / business after hours for the end of summer. We had the gallery packed and we had a good time. Today I get to recouperate and do some of my own artwork instead of making canapes and chit chat. So this is where I will begin ...
The above is a mixed media painting I did, which is going to begin another body of work today. I am starting another series based on the Luberon region for an exhibit in Massachusetts next year. Here is a look at the four originals hanging all together.
Now that I have the new studio space, it will be easier to work on these four at a time.
Big news! I have my first post over at Whipup! on children's crafts. I am very excited about this, as I have been an admirer of the site and Kathreen since she began this handcraft blog. It is what we at artstream are all about- making things by hand - one at a time.
The word for the day is ... nap ... as in something which one deserves most every day, time to recharge and the one-way hand of the fabric!
