Speed

Once upon a time ...
I designed and manufactured children's clothing. It was called "Easel Wear" Each piece was either handpainted or hand silkscreened with my illustrations. I dyed the colored garments myself at the begining then got a bulk dyer to do it when things got bigger.

This one was part of the Asa set. A two piece organic cotton outfit with my hand silk screened patches sewn on. This particular design was how I often felt at the time with two young girls - mama hen was always running with them at my heels. It was a good time however, and I think of all the fun I had with making the clothing and the designs for the line, modeling them with the girls and everything else in between. I dug it out of storage to photograph it today. I just don't like to iron so excuse the wrinkles! Click the images to see even more defined wrinkles!
That hen was speed in motion ... and she still is today.

The word for the day is ... remember ... from where you came, the important details, and to tell that special someone that you love them.

oh, this is the first time i've seen anything from that collection. and i love. i adore.

yes, you are a mother hen on speed. but for the speed, zest and energy that you go thru life, living fully, completely.

you for your daughters and your family, your friends, your students, your artists. you are a mother hen of inspiration.

This is a great image - I really liked the feeling of business from the hen and her chicks. I also loved the story behind it all. It just goes to show you that art with meaning and memories behind it has a certain life of its own.
