Smitten

acrylic, tissue paper, ink 5"x7" on arches #140 paper
This morning I got up and started early with some collaged papers I have been dabbling with all week. I have been thinking about the Art to Wear show, fashion, it's effects on women (if you know me, you will clearly know that fashion has never done anything to effect me..) and how I simply love black with the odd splash of red.
I just had finished this piece and poof, into my inbin comes Penelope's prompt for IF - ::smitten::
Well, that was easy. The paint isn't dry, but I think you get the picture. She is smitten with that red coat cape. But like an unruly showercurtain, it is a drag to get out of. She'll go into the shop today too.

The word for the day is ... independence ... as in freedom, self sufficient and a certain ability to get on with things.

  3. She almost looks like a Mermaid. I'm actually working on a series of Mermaids for a commission.I thought it was quite interesting when I seen this today on your blog entry and it so very resembles to me, a Mermaid because of her red coat cape of course.
